When people ask me what I do, I wonder where to start. So I started using the term 'everyday alchemist'. I didn't know the first thing about alchemy, but while writing my first article, published in Kindred Spirit in 2008, it dawned on me that that's what I was. I was turning my karmas into more awareness, my lead into gold. So it summed up nicely how I live my life! I use my stresses and struggles as a way to generate more awareness. More aware of who I am and, perhaps more importantly, who I'm not!
And it's through this process I've begun to discover the things in life that truly feed my spirit. So I write, I see clients, I travel to power places, and I present soulful shows that bring awareness to who we are, why we're here and how to be brighter human beings!
As a former yoga teacher, I knew a little bit about body work and meditation, but didn't feel I was getting the whole picture. So I went on various workshops and courses to see if I could identify the gaps. To my great joy I came across The School of Energy Awareness in 2005. You can read all about how I found it, and what happened after, in the article section of the website (Get Inspired). That's where I was given the tools to learn to see the whole picture. And each day the picture seems to be getting bigger!
A couple of years later with all the energy being generated through developing my energy awareness, I began a successful writing career, with my articles being published in Kindred Spirit, Positive Health, Green Parent Magazine and various online mind, body and spirit websites.
I've also had the pleasure of co-presenting The Empowerment Show, together with Stephen Kane, bringing real empowerments and awareness to the world of online radio.
So now, as well as writing and presenting, I take people who'd like to experience the empowerments Glastonbury has to offer on Empowerment Tours here in my home town, where I live with my brilliantly gorgeous seven year old son.
